In Memory of Carol Paterson
Our Aquarius family have been devastated having lost one of our most loved members of staff, Carol Paterson at the age of only 41 on the 22nd December 2018.
On this day “International Women’s Day” we thought it appropriate that we pay tribute to the wonderful and exceptional Woman that Carol was.
Not only was Carol loved by her fellow staff, but her bubbly personality and unfaltering professionalism meant she was also loved by many of our clients, who will be shocked and saddened to hear of her untimely passing.
Prior to joining the Aquarius team in 2014, Carol worked with Thomas Cook. Covering America as part of her job, Carol was well-travelled and no stranger to sales and customer service. Carol had also completed a jewellery making course and began making her own beautiful pieces which people still wear with pride today.
Cars were also a great love of Carols, we would often hear how she loved nothing more than being behind the wheel.
Carol was a keen and excellent baker, regularly making delicious treats for team meetings, and beautiful Birthday Cakes for members of staff who were celebrating in the office. She even made her sister Donnas wedding cake. She brought such joy to many of us over the years and this tradition is carried on within Aquarius where everyone receives a special cake on their special day.
She took great pride in her work and was always willing to go over and above for her customers, with her quick wit and her cheery demeanour she could put anyone at ease, no matter the stressful situation.
However, it was not only in a professional capacity that this was the case. Carol was always there going over and above to help or offer advice to anyone in the team who needed it. Newcomers would be quickly taken under her wing and offered a wealth of support whenever it was needed.
With this in mind Roddy along with the blessing of Carol’sfamily, has decided to set up ‘The Carol Patterson Trust’. With the intent to honour Carol’smemory, the trust will provide support for people in the workplace who feel they need advice, support or simply someone to talk to. It will additionally provide some financial support in order to help our staff to seek professional help from our carefully selected group of professional advisers. Many of whom are our customers and have benefitted from Carol’s support to their customers.
We hope that the Trust provides comfort to many people in times of need, just as Carol did for so many.
Carol Paterson was a kind and caring young woman, who we were not only fortunate enough to have known and had the privilege of working with but more so to call a true friend.
She will be greatly missed but through the ‘Carol Paterson Trust’, will always remain in our Team.
